Family therapy is a branch of psychotherapy that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members. It emphasizes family relationships as an important factor in psychological health.

Centrec Care’s approach to therapy is not to assign fault or blame on the individual or family.

We believe that regardless of the problem and who may be responsible for the friction, the family unit will be guided towards uncovering solutions to the issues. This involvement of families is commonly accomplished by their direct participation in the therapy session.

Our trained professionals use their skills to influence conversation, promote interaction and stimulate dialogue between the parties participating in the session. The goal is to create a mutual understanding and respect amongst the participants, which will result in a better functioning home environment.

The number of sessions depends on the situation, but the average is 5-20 sessions.
